This studio’s objective was to gain a comprehensive understanding of the components that make up a realized work of architecture, from client to construction. My project, an extended family home in West Los Angeles, investigates how a volume may be shifted and sheared to provide sunlight, air, and varying levels of privacy. Intended for a multi-generational family, the house is designed to accommodate large family events, while still providing private spaces for each generation.
